Solar Range
Originally launched due to popular request in 1991 the SOLAR range is of the more ‘conventional’ rectangular shape. Constructed from sheet aluminium using the same methods as for the Octagonal range it once again offers ‘engineered practicality’ whilst still providing an attractive addition to your garden.
It is available in lengths from 4’6” (1.37m) up to 10’9” (3.28m), can be powder coated in any of the four standard colours (see button on left) or left natural (mill finish), and as with the octagonal range can be glazed in either 3mm horticultural glass, or 4mm Toughened glass to BS BS6206a.
The Solar greenhouse has many benefits, more details of which can be found by looking at the details of each model (see buttons on left), but they include:
One of the highest eave and ridge heights in the country and a full height (6’4” / 1.93m) sliding door. No more stooping or banged heads!
The Solar range has a useful 7’1” (2.16m) width, unusual in the greenhouse market (greenhouses are usually 6’ or 8’ wide), but ideal for gardens where an 8’ width just won’t fit, but a 6’ width is too narrow. Also allows staging to be placed along both sides whilst still leaving plenty of space to work in. Feels spacious inside, not cramped.
Comes as standard with a rainwater kit, gutters, and an integral base. These are an extra cost with many greenhouses.
Slightly sloping sides allow better light transmission during colder months and give the range a distinctive look. The sloping sides create corner posts which incorporate a large amount of metal giving strength to the greenhouse where it needs it most. The frame is also fully braced throughout all models. Solar greenhouses have survived many storms in and around Britain, even in exposed positions such as coastal areas, and have never suffered from any serious damage from the wind alone.

A full range of spares is available for all our greenhouses (please contact us for a quote) and an added feature with the Solar range is that nearly all the panes are of a readily available standard 2’ x 2’ (610mm x 610mm) size.
