Octagonal Range

Originally based on a request to manufacture a Sheet Aluminium Copy of an 8 sided wooden greenhouse some 30 years ago, the Original 8 Sided NOVA Greenhouse is now in it’s Mark 3 form which itself is always being improved where possible to meet the consistent high quality standards for which the product is renown while continuing to be excellent value for money and embodying some practical suggestions made by some of our thousands of satisfied customers.

The basis of the original design of the NOVA was a Standard “Dutch Light” 1422mm x 730mm Pane of 3mm Horticultural Glass, resulting in overall proportions which are both attractive and practical from the NOVA 6 x 6 up to the SUPER-ALPHA 8 x 13 while retaining a simple and effective construction on which repairs, should they prove necessary, may be as uncomplicated as possible to achieve. The suggested design life of all our Greenhouse Frames is a minimum 15 years with basic maintenance being undertaken and the product being erected in accordance with the instructions provided and used for its intended purpose as a Greenhouse. We are pleased to say that we know of many original NOVA Mark 1 Greenhouses that are still giving good service after over a quarter of a century of use.

Features of the Octagonal Range

The Range is offered as a complete building Frame, Glass and sufficient ventilation for most general uses dependent on the size of Greenhouse – however due consideration should be given to the intended position of the Greenhouse as regards exposure to sunlight and wind particularly prevailing winds bearing in mind proposed crops to be grown/ or plants to be over wintered. We believe that we offer sufficient ventilation for general use but if in doubt – add another opening window – it can always be kept closed but in unusually hot weather the Door can be kept open if necessary. (Please see individual Greenhouse details for specific ventilation details) Additional Roof and/or Side windows can be purchased, ideally at the time of order, but may be added at a later date involving removal, cutting, replacement of the glass supplied originally.

Every Greenhouse in the Octagonal range has an Integral Base (NO additional cost for a separate base), and a single Hinged Door hinged to the RIGHT hand side (When facing the door OUTSIDE of the Greenhouse), however a factory prepared LEFT Hand hinged door option is available at no additional cost

 All of the Range are supplied with a Door Stay Bar Kit as Standard which enables the Door to be held open to its full extent. The Greenhouse is suitable for erecting on nearly all flat surfaces and comes as standard with a set of Ground Anchors for use where the Greenhouse is to be set on an Earth/Gravel base area. The Greenhouses have been designed and tested to withstand strong winds when secured as recommended.
